Growing up in a musical household, Katie learned the violin and piano from the age of seven and went on to study Music at The University of Sheffield. A highlight of her time there was leading the university's Symphony Orchestra and performing with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales.
Since graduating, Katie developed a love of teaching, delighting in guiding and inspiring young pianists and violinists. She continues to foster her love of performing and teaching music, studying for her Master's in Music Education and Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Katie thoroughly enjoys combining her flair and enthusiasm for music with her experience working with children, to teach young musicians and inspire them at every stage of their musical journey, keeping music at the forefront of her teaching, and adapting to the unique learning styles and personality of every student.
At South End Music School, Katie teaches both piano and violin lessons, bringing her warmth, passion, and personalised approach to every class. She is dedicated to nurturing each student’s musical growth and helping them build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
